It is clearly social engineering,no other ban has had so many milloins thrown at it.Look to intolerant California,to see where this is going.

The smoking ban is unwanted legislation which is a draconian infringement of our human rights and should be repealed immediately.
If we had not become such a nation of sheep, we would all disobey it. The government cannot imprison every single smoker in England …

The ban is rediculous, I dont want to smoke but what the hell is wrong with allowing smoking and non-smoking pubs etc to coexist!
If so many people wanted non-smoking clubs they could just enforce that privately!

The whole idea of banning smoking is completely ridiculous. I don’t smoke myself, but even i’m annoyed with it. Why aren’t people protesting against it on a large scale? …. I’m surprised people are going along with it so calmly….

very good comment , the pro smoking ban people don’t see the bigger picture. now that scotlands bars are empty, they are trying to ban cheap supermarket alcohol to force people back into pubs they no longer frequent because of the smoking ban.
