Kent is located in the south east of england, making it one of the home counties. kent is bordered by East Sussex, Surrey, London and Essex. as well as these, Kent boasts a border with France, which is inside the channel tunnel. Maidstone is kent’s county town and Canterbury is the only city in the county.



Kent is well-known for its hop gardens and orchards, so its frequently dubbed the garden of england.



London has a long and fascinating history, which began when the romans founded the first major settlement there in AD 43 following the Roman conquest of the uk.



London was especially prosperous in the 18th century and it became the world’s biggest city from 1831 to 1925. the growth of the city was aided by London’s first railways, which put rural towns within easy reach of the city. The train network grew really quickly, which made London expand into its surrounding areas and merge with close by settlements such as Kensington.



Since then, London continues to thrive and it remains one of the world’s biggest cities.



Kent is a historic place, which means that there is loads of stuff to do. in actual fact, the county has some beautiful green spaces, astonishing museums and breathtaking galleries.



Godinton House and Gardens is an old estate, which has a medieval hall and plenty of other historic rooms. However, it also has beautiful gardens, which last for twelve acres.



One of the finest galleries is the leaf gallery in Maidstone, which has some superb artwork. The Dover Museum is also well worth a visit, as it is home to a bronze age boat, which is the word’s oldest boat. The museum is a local history and archeology museum, which is placed in the heart of Dover town centre.



Kent is a wonderful county with many market towns, so it offers some great shops. you will find some of the best shopping in Canterbury – the only city in kent. although it is a historical location with many quirky independent shops and , Canterbury has a great high street too. in fact, Canterbury has branches of Top Shop, New Look and many more great high street stores. as well as these stores, Canterbury also boasts a department store named Fenwicks. The shop is a great location for picking up some designer clothes.



The nightlife in kent is excellent, because it has got something for everything.



You’ll find some fabulous nightclubs & vip wine bars in Canterbury – kent’s only city. despite this, the city also boasts some fabulous inns, which are really old & boast a vast variety of lovely beers.



Canterbury also boasts some fabulous restaurants, which serve some really yummy food & drink. Some of the finest include Zizzi’s, Augustines & Marlowes.



Getting to Kent is easy, particularly if you’re travelling via London. It has fabulous road connections, as well as frequent train services. kent airport, which is situated in Manston, also gives flights to & from Kent.
