Oxford, The City of Dreaming Spires, is famous the world over for its University and place in history. For over 800 years, it has been a home to royalty and scholars, who have helped shape the city to become one of the most picturesque in Great Britain.
Today the city is a bustling cosmopolitan town. Still with its grand and ancient University and now home to a growing hi-tech community. This has created a contrasting style of architecture across the city with the traditional and modern sitting side by side.
This mixture of ancient and modern has created a vibrant city with plenty to do for both visitors and residents. Tacking a tour of this ancient city is a must, with so much history there is always something to see and with its truly stunning architecture there will be plenty of photo opportunities too. Bodleian Library, The Ashmolean Museum, The Botanic Gardens, Christ Church Cathedral and the Bridge of Signs are just a few of Oxford’s world famous attractions.
Punting along the river Isis is another must when in Oxford. This popular past time is reminiscent of gondola rides of Venice, with people tacking in the sights as they float down the river often with a knowledge and amusing guide to point to notes of interest.
Oxford offers an extensive range of shops and restaurants. With a number of modern shopping centers in the heart of the city there will be plenty for the shoppoholics to keep them busy. And for the food lovers Oxford has many wonderfully restaurants and cafes. World renowned Raymond Blanc has his Le Manoir restaurant just outside the city. With two Michelin stars and regularly voted one of the best restaurants in the country it’s a defiant destination on your visit to Oxford.
Just a few miles from Oxford is the town of Henley –On –Thames home to the world famous Henley Royal Regatta. For five days around the first weekend in July some of the best rowers from across the country and internationally descend on this pretty town. It also attracts crowds from across the world to enjoy the top class racing and to be seen at one of the top social events of the year.
But, if you find you do want more, then Oxford is a just a short hop away from many other attractions and the capital city itself, London

Spring in London is very great weather-wise. The wind is there but only enough to keep you cool under the usually cloudless sun. But what to do?

There are a lot of things to do in London if you know what to look for. I have gone over all the information and concluded the following to be the best options in each category of things people usually do when vacationing to any new city.

As far as getting something to eat, London has some of the best restaurants in the world. The Forge is a Five Star Restaurant that usually has two hour long waits on the weekends. Well worth it. For a less exclusive atmosphere try Leon. this is a nice Italian restaurant with very affordable prices and some of the best food in town.

Some of the best bars include Archangel and Departure. These bars are the best for getting a cheap drink on and socializing in that classic London pub atmosphere. Very friendly and cordial, inexpensive.

As far as clubs are concerned, there are two that really stand out. The first is called Dust, located at 27 Clerkenwell Road. It is a well lighted club with a lot of the latest industrial music. Many local club scene celebrities stop by often. Probably the most popular club in all of London. If you are looking for an extreme dance experience, then Lifthouse is the optimal choice. It is located on 85 Charterhouse Street. This is the best place to go for a sweaty good time.

London is a nice place to go in the Spring if you know where to go, and now you do. These places will ensure that you have things to keep you occupied throughout the duration. Truly the best time in all of England. Check it out.
